Ramp Ministry

Coordinator: Rick King

 

Purpose: A group dedicated to the construction of wheelchair access ramps for homes.

Threads of Love

Coordinator: Barb Smith

 

Purpose: 

On October 31, 2013 the "Threads of Love" ministry made their first delivery of 147 handmade preemie hats to the NICU at Magee-Womens Hospital. Since that initial visit, baby hats and blankets have been delivered to Magee-Womens Hospital, St. Vincent's Hospital, Millcreek Hospital, and Golisano Children's Hospital in Fort Meyers, Florida. The tradition continues with 621 baby hats and 69 baby blankets being delivered in June of 2022. To date 4,285 baby hats have been donated.

This "Threads of Love" ministry meets every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Park Church. This ministry is always looking for new and interested crafters.

Stephen Ministry

Coordinator: Karen Schuyler & Ruth King

                 

Purpose:

Stephen Ministers are lay congregation members trained to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or relocation.

Stephen Ministers come from all walks of life, but they all share a passion for bringing Christ’s love and care to people during a time of need.

Since 1975, more than 600,000 people from more than 13,000 congregations and other organizations have been trained as Stephen Ministers.
